Ravichandran Ashwin is going to be grabbing major spotlight in the ILT20's first-ever auction on Wednesday, October 01. The former India off-spinner, who wishes to explore the option of playing various T20 Leagues across the globe, is the major attraction the six franchises will keep an eye on. Along with the veteran, Jason Roy, Fakhar Zaman, and Shakib Al Hasan will be other top international players looking to get a big deal.
The first-ever auction will feature 300 players from more than 20 countries, combining a heady cocktail of marquee international players and exciting, fearless upcoming talent, along with the regional players from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Alongside Ashwin, four Indians, Ankit Rajpoot, Priyank Panchal, Siddhartha Kaul, and Piyush Chawla have registered in the auction.

Players have been grouped into price slabs of USD 120,000, 80,000, 40,000, and 10,000. The USD 1,20,000 slab features Ashwin as he sets up to play the first-ever T20 League after his international retirement. The USD 80,000 slab will feature Fakhar, Roy, Saim Ayub, and Andre Fletcher. All-rounders Mohammad Nabi and Karim Janat, alongside Pakistan's Mohammad Nawaz, also feature in this category.
Pakistan's star pacer Naseem Shah, Faheem Ashraf, and Afghan bowler Naveen-ul-Haq also headline the USD 80,000 category. The USD 40,000 slab also features promising players like Shakib Al Hasan, James Anderson, Andrew Tye, and the Afghan duo of Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran. Associate players Unmukt Chand, Logan Van Beek, and Roelof van der Merwe are also in this USD 40,000 slab.

Players gear up for ILT20 auction
The last USD 10,000 slab features South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma, Paul Stirling, Kaul, and Panchal. Zimbabwe's Richard Ngarava and Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee. Namibia's JJ Smit, Scotland's Brandon McMullen, and Canada's Kaleem Sana further bolster this category. All UAE players also feature in this last slab price, including Junaid Siddique, Vriitya Aravind, Aryan Lakra, Basil Hameed, Rohan Mustafa, Zuhaib Zubair, Zahoor Khan, Dhruv Parashar, and Rahul Chopra.

Each of the six franchises will enter the auction with a purse of USD 800,000, plus any remaining amount from the USD 1.2 million allocated earlier for direct signings and retention's. Dubai Capitals and Gulf Giants enter the auction with the most purses at USD 1,035,000 each. Sharjah Warriorz have USD 1,025,000, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders follow with USD 925,000, Desert Vipers with USD 802,500, and MI Emirates have USD 800,000 to spend.
